Survey aims to understand barriers for women in crypto industry
ONE of the UK's leading female figures in digital assets is behind a survey aimed at understanding inclusion within the industry.
The male-dominated world of blockchain and crypto is, says Stafanio Barbaglio - founder and director of Cassiopeia Services, often a major hurdle that sees talented women turning to other industries.
She hopes the survey will help build an understanding of what issues need to be addressed in order to drive proactive and tangible change.
Stefania says she believes strongly in the potential of transformative technologies, like blockchain, to uplift humanity - but the space lacks gender equality.
"We are strong proponents of diversity and inclusion in both the finance and tech sector, yet we've observed a gap in the representation and empowerment of women," she explained.
"This often leads to a hesitation to take on leadership roles or share their voices.
"Leveraging our FinancialFox platform, a podcast we started in 2018 with the mission to educate on emerging technologies and their impact, we are planning to build a stronger community that understands the empowerment of women through education, support, and inspiration."
