BRAZILIAN mixed martial arts fighter Renato Moicano made one of the brutal sport's most impressive comebacks to snap up a $300,000 purse at the weekend.
But the vocal proponent of Bitcoin didn't just receive applause from winning the MMA belt last night, he also triggered a massive round of applause for his unexpected financial advice.
Grabbing a microphone to discuss the two-round UFC 300 undercard contest the 34-year-old, who often calls for his prizes to be paid in Bitcoin, took the opportunity let fly with some foul-mouthed finance tips.
"I love America, I love the constitution, I love the First Amendment," he began.
"But let me tell you something - if you care about your ****ing country, read Ludwig Von Mises' 6 lessons of the Austrian Economic School m************s!"
Moicano had looked out of the fight towards the end of the first round. And his opponent - Jalin Turner - clearly thought the same after the American floored the crypto supporter with a massive left before turning to head into the corner.
However, a groggy but determined Moicano somehow got back on his feet to allow referee Herb Dean to signal for the fight to continue.
Clearly shaken, Turner let the Brazilian get the better of him in the second round as he rained elbows and fists on the stricken fighter before the official called time on the battle.
Ludwig von Mises was an Austrian–American economist, historian, logician, and sociologist. Mises wrote and lectured extensively on the societal contributions of classical liberalism and the power of consumers.
He is perhaps best known for his work on praxeology studies comparing communism and capitalism.
Austrian-British economist Friedrich Hayek was a student and colleague.
